Meeting with the Secretary of State for Education Justine Greening

 

On the whole, the programme of talks between the unions centrally and the Department for Education considers matters which have already been devolved to Wales. However, this was an opportunity to remind the Secretary of State for Education that the responsibility and accountability for pay and conditions in Wales remains with the Department for Education in London.

 

UCAC will be calling for a further meeting with her in September to consider maters relating to pay and conditions and to ensure clear communication between Westminster and the Welsh Government.
